Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RainCheck? ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

RainCheck? allows users to create anonymous polls to vote on whether a meeting should be cancelled. When enough participants vote to cancel, the Service can automatically remove the event from the organizer's Google Calendar. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for use with Google Workspace and Google Calendar.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must sign in using a valid Google account to create polls.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must have the authority to create cancellation polls for meetings you organize.
  • You agree to grant the necessary Google Calendar permissions for the Service to function.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Create polls for meetings you do not have the authority to cancel.
  • Attempt to manipulate vote counts or circumvent duplicate-vote protections.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service without permission.

5. Google Calendar Integration

The Service integrates with Google Calendar to read events and, when authorized, cancel them. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • We are not responsible for unintended calendar modifications.
  • Calendar cancellations triggered by vote thresholds are irreversible through the Service.
  • Google may change or restrict API access at any time, which could affect Service functionality.
  • You should verify that poll thresholds are appropriate before sharing poll links.

6. Anonymous Voting

Votes are anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual users. Vote tallies are final. The Service uses hashed tokens to prevent duplicate voting. By voting, you acknowledge that your vote cannot be retracted once submitted.

7. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. By using the Service, you acknowledge that ads will be displayed during your use. Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers and does not represent endorsement by RainCheck?.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CALENDAR DATA OR VOTE TALLIES.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAINCHECK? AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO UNINTENDED MEETING CANCELLATIONS, LOST PRODUCTIVITY, OR DATA LOSS.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
